Craig is asleep and dreaming he is asleep with John Paul; however, he awakens and is actually with Sarah; he appeares disappointed. Craig and Sarah enjoy each other's company, glad their relationship is back on track. However, Craig becomes uneasy when Sarah calls John Paul over to join them. Craig is uncomfortable in John Paul's presence. John Paul is also upset and does not want to talk to him. Later, at the McQueens', Craig turns up, angry with John Paul's earlier behaviour. As they argue, John Paul demands Craig stay away, otherwise he will tell Sarah about Craig's secret.
John Paul’s bedroom, later. John-Paul opens the door to see Craig standing there. He is not pleased to see him and rolls his eyes
Craig: "What were you playing at? (He turns around) Mm? Trying to make out that you and Spike aren’t working? Were you trying to throw off the scent? Is that what you were doing? Because it didn’t work. She’s more interested in your sex life than ever before. (John-Paul gets up from the bed and walks over to his decks and switches off the music) We’re going to have to get rid of him, thats the only way to shut her up.
John-Paul (meaning it): Don’t you dare tell me what to do.
Craig: You don’t care about him. (He moves towards John-Paul and caresses his arm) It’s me you want.
John-Paul: As long as I don’t mind sharing.
Craig: I’m here now.
John-Paul: Yeah. (He looks at Craig’s hand on his arm) Tomorrow you’ll be back with Sarah.
Craig drops his hand and momentarily breaks eye contact. John-Paul wraps his arms around himself, his eyes on the floor and one hand where Craig’s had just been.
Craig: Maybe….um… I want you both. (John-Paul raises his eyes to Craig’s face) Don’t make me choose.
John-Paul: You already have.
Craig (moving towards John-Paul and speaking very softly with come-to-bed eyes): Come on, John-Paul. We can handle it.
John-Paul (resisting - just): You can. I can’t. Because sooner or later, I’m gonna grab you and I’m gonna kiss you and I’m not gonna care who’s around to see it.
Craig (edgy): You wouldn’t do that.
John-Paul: Wouldn’t I? (He moves away towards the door and holds it open) So if you really want to keep this a secret, I suggest you leave me the hell alone. Now get out. (Craig doesn’t move) GET OUT!!!!
Craig leaves.
Later. John-Paul is punching his boxing bag repeatedly, sweat dripping down him. He stops and collapses on the bed, his chest moving up and do
wn. He closes his eyes.
Craig is lying on his bed, staring at the ceiling. The light on his face is cold and clincal and he looks rigid and brittle. He folds his arms over himself and rolls over, foetal and vulnerable.
